Red Color Study

Red: the theory of color started out as an idea that each person embodies a color of their own~call it their aura, their light, their disposition. Eva is a fire sign, an aries, and she is ever the embodiment of bold and sassy. She sees herself in roses, in hot peppers, and chinese take out containers. I had been eyeing her loft for quite some time, her own space filled with her own paintings and red floral bed spread. I decided that nothing would fit her more than a trellis of red roses. We hung them from the beams above her bed to frame her space.

With one hand grasping to the ladder that led to her fortress and one eye closed while peering through the polaroid, we played sassy kali uchis to set the tone.

"Red is still my favorite color to draw and paint with. It's a passionate color and I'm pursuing my passion of creating art by going to an art school next year. It's important that I stay in touch with my younger self as i'm growing up and I really try and listen and keep in touch with my childish self and soul. I love where I'm going and who I am ~ a fire sign who is calm but passionate and ready to make my path in the world as I am becoming an adult," says Eva.

Red evokes a feeling of passion and individuality in me like no other color. I feel most red when I’m doing what I want because it is a color of empowerment.
Red is the color of most of my favorite things in life, I can’t even count the number of red items in my closet! One of my favorite red possessions is my ruby red lipstick, it is the definition of confidence to me. My other favorite is my red velvet mini. When I put that on I feel like the sweetest damn cherry, unstoppable and cute as hell.
